Learning

The job of today's educator is to make the horse always thirsty and be prepared when the horse lead you to the water. Albert IP (2008)

I just wish when these Horse's found the water they had enough memory improvement techniques to remember how they got to the water and what they learned when they got there!

I agree to a certain extent that you can lead the horse to the water but you cannot make them drink. However, once you give the necessary tools they need to make an informed decision as to whether they want to drink or not, then ultimately the choice is theirs. Whether right or wrong, they would have to live with their decision.

Hence it is important for us educator to focus more on motivation, ensuring that the students understand why they need to put in the effort to learn. Unfortunately, due to their lack of life experience, priorities differ and it is important for us to explain to them why it is important to look beyond just today's pleasure/rewards.
